    Hi! My name is Basmah Elradi, and I’m a student at the University of Maryland College Park majoring in Neuroscience. I absolutely love working with kids and am super passionate about helping them dive into the Arabic language and explore its rich cultures.

  • Zain Abuhatab

    Hi! My name is Zain Abuhatab, and I’m a rising freshman at UMBC’s Business Technology Administration program. I’m passionate about all things tech and love using my skills to support growth and learning among kids at Kalimah.

  • Layali Eshqaidef

    Hi! I’m Layali Eshqaidef—a teacher, consultant, and the founding president of Kalimah Programs. Through Kalimah and beyond, I’ve designed, developed, and led a variety of play-based, STEAM-focused language learning and immersion programs. I’m passionate about empowering learners to become lifelong learners and lovers of the Arabic language.

  • Halima Reribi

    Hello! My name is Halima, and I’m from Algeria. I’ll be joining Kalimah Programs Team this summer as a camp counselor, and I couldn’t be more excited!

    I currently work as a preschool teacher’s assistant and hold a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology. I’m also continuing my studies in Early Childhood Education, which reflects my deep passion for supporting young learners.

    I believe that children thrive when they learn through play, and I’m dedicated to creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to grow at their own pace.

    In my free time, I enjoy biking, photography, traveling, and volunteering.

    I’m truly looking forward to an amazing summer filled with learning, laughter, and unforgettable memories with Kalimah’s children and families.

  • Souhila Nait-Mohamed

    Hi! My name is Souhila. I'm married, a proud mom of four, and the grandmother of Idris and Leila. I was born in Algeria, spent some time in Montreal, Canada, and moved to Maryland, The United States in 1999.

    I have a college degree in Finance and Accounting. I worked previously in Office Operations. Currently, I work as a school bus driver for Montgomery County Public Schools.

    I also volunteer as an Arabic teacher at Jannah Academy’s Sunday School. I really enjoy working with children, it brings me joy to see them grow, learn, and feel connected to their community.

    In my free time, I love crocheting, making jewelry, and watching Turkish movies. These hobbies help me relax, express my creativity, and explore different cultures.

    I’m very excited to be joining Kalimah and look forward to sharing what I know, learning from others, and being part of such a meaningful community.

    Hi! I’m Farah, an English Education graduate with a Master’s in Educational Leadership. Teaching is my passion, and I love creating a fun, engaging, and supportive learning environment for my students. I believe in fostering confidence in reading, speaking, and communication, making sure every child feels encouraged and capable. My approach is student-centered, focusing on interactive lessons that keep learning enjoyable and effective. I’m so excited to meet you and be part of your learning journey!

    Hi! I’m Dr. Ghadir Ishqaidef, an Associate Professor of Management at CSU Chico with a passion for developing future leaders through innovative, hands-on learning. With a background in HR, training, and team development, I love bringing that same energy to Kalimah Programs’ summer camp—where I help create immersive, engaging experiences that inspire kids to grow with confidence and curiosity.
